Web Design: Balancing Development and Esports Expertise

I recently had the opportunity to design a website for Pieter Jan Pollie, a full-stack web developer and esports freelancer from Belgium. Pollie specializes in Vue.js, Node.js, and Laravel, and his work spans both development and esports, particularly in Rocket League. The challenge was to create a site that could effectively represent both aspects of his career while maintaining a cohesive design.

A Unified Approach to Two Roles

To achieve this, I split the website into two sections: one for his development work and one for his esports projects. By keeping the overall layout consistent across both sections, we ensured the site remained unified, while also streamlining the development process.

Highlighting Versatility with a Seamless Design

The design focuses on showcasing Pollie’s versatility. The simple, user-friendly structure makes it easy for visitors to explore both his technical and esports skills. The consistent layout creates a cohesive experience, ensuring his diverse expertise is clearly communicated.

Next Steps for Pollie.dev

The website is still in development, with the next phase focusing on refining the content and adding more of Pollie’s projects. Once completed, it will serve as a professional platform for potential clients and partners to explore Pollie’s work and collaboration opportunities.
